Word Lesson 3 Vocab

TermDefinition
Character A letter or symbol that you can change its font, font size, text color, text highlight, and shadow
Character spacing The spacing in and around each character of text
Character styles A command that applies different styles to a selected text
Font A changeable text to change the way your text looks
Live preview When you hover your mouse over a font in the command box when you have selected text it will give you a preview of how the text would look like
Paragraph styles When the command is selected the format is applies to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located.
Point size It refers to the height of characters. One point equals 1/72 of an inch. The range is 8 point size to 72 points or higher.
Text Effects A command that adds a distinctive appearance to selected text, like outline, shadow, glow, and reflection
WordArt A feature that creates decorative effects with text.
