Word Lesson 3

TermDefinition
Character Is any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark.
Character spacing Refers to spacing in and around characters. (Scale, Spacing, and Position)
Character styles Applied to individual characters or words that you select.
Font A typeface that applies to a style of characters.
Live Preview Preview what format/font changes will look like on your document.
Paragraph Styles A format applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located.
Point Size The height of a character. (1 point = 1/72 of an inch)
Text Effects Add a distinctive appearance to selected text, like outlines, shadow, glow, and reflection.
Word Art A feature that creates decorative effects with text.
