Word 2016

TermDefinition
Character Any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark.
Character spacing Refers to the spacing in and around each character of text. Character spacing options include Scale, Spacing, and Position.
Character styles Applies to individual character or words that you select.
Font A typeface that applies a style to characters.
Live preview A live representation of what the selected text would look like if it was in that font.
Paragraph styles When used, the format is applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located, whether or not that text is selected.
Point size Refers to the hight of characters, ranges from the very small 8-point size to 72 points or higher.
Text Effects Adds a distinctive appearance to selected text, such as outline, shadow, glow, and reflection.
WordArt A feature that creates decorative effects with the text.
