Word Lesson 3 Vocab

TermDefinition
Character Any Single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark.
Character Spacing The spacing in and around each character of text.
Character Styles The spacing in and around each character of text.
Font A typeface that applies a style to characters.
Live Preview As you point to each font in the list it will show you this.
Paragraph Styles A format that is applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located, whether or not text is selected.
Point Size Refers to the height of characters, with one point equaling approximately 1/72 of an inch.
Text Effects Adds a distinctive appearance to select text, such as outline, shadow, glow, and reflection.
Word Art A feature that creates decorative effects with text.
