Word Lesson 2 Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Autocorrect A feature that replaces symbols, commonly misspelled words, and abbreviations with specific text strings
Clipboard Stores the items for you to paste in another location of the document or another Office file
Copy Places a duplicate copy in the Clipboard
Cut Removes it from the original location and places the text in the Clipboard
Document properties Pastes text from the Clipboard to the new location in either the original document or a new document
Go To Opens the same dialog box with Go To as the active tab
Navigation Pane Provides options for browsing and searching in a document
Object Zoom Enables you to zoom in on objects such as tables, charts, or images while in Read Mode
Paste Pastes text from the Clipboard to a new location in either the original document or a new document
Read Mode Changes the page layout of the document with a larger font for easier reading
Replace Changing a specific font color, bolding, or italics
Thumbnails Page images
Wildcard Used to find words or phrases that contain specific letters or combinations of letters
