Word Lesson 2 Vocab

TermDefinition
Auto correct A feature that replaces symbols, commonly misspelled words, and abbreviations with specific text strings
Clipboard Stores the items for you to paste in another location of the document or another Office file
Copy Word places a duplicate copy in the Clipboard
Cut Word removes it from the original location and places the text in the Clipboard collection
Document properties Identify the creator of the document, the date the document was created, its subject and category, and keywords that can be used to search for the document
Go To Provides a way to navigate through longer documents quickly
Navigation Pane Provides options for browsing and searching in a document
Object Zoom In Read mode enables you to zoom in on objects such as tables, charts, or images while in Read Mode
Paste Pastes text from the Clipboard to document
Read Mode Changes the page layout of the document with a larger font for easier reading
Replace Replace word or phrase, font color, bolding, or italics
Thumbnails page images
Wildcard Wildcard To find words or phrases that contain specific letters or combinations of letters
