Word Lesson 3 Vocab

TermDefinition
Character Any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark.
Character Spacing Refers to the spacing in and around each character of text.
Character Styles Applied to individual characters or words that you select.
Font A typeface that applies a style to characters.
Live Preview A feature that enables you to see a preview of a option when you hover the mouse pointer over it.
Paragraph Styles A style in which the formats are applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located, whether or not text is selected.
Point Size Refers to the height of characters, with one point equaling approximately 1/72 of an inch.
Text Effects Add a distinctive appearance to selected text, such as outline, shadow, glow, and reflection.
WordArt A feature that creates decorative effects with text.
