Word 2016 Vocab lesson 2

TermDefinition
autocorrect Is a feature that replaces symbols, commonly misspelled words, and abbreviations with specific text strings.
clipboard Stores the items for you to paste in another location of the document or another Office file.
copy When you copy text, word places a duplicate in the clipboard.
cut Word removes it from original location and places it in the clipboard collection.
document properties Identify the creator of the document, the date the document was created, its subject and category, and keywords that can be used to search for the documents.
go to Opens the same dialog box with go to as the active tab.
navigation pane Contains commands for moving and searching through a document.
object zoom Enables you to zoom in on objects such as tables, charts, or images while in read mode.
paste Pastes text from the clipboard to a new location
read mode Changes the page layout of the document with a larger font for easier reading.
replace Opens the find and replace dialog
thumbnails page images
wildcard Characters to find words or phrases that contain specific letters or combination of letters.
