Word lesson 2 vocab

TermDefinition
Autocorrect Replaces symbols, commonly misspelled words, and abbreviations with specific text strings
Clipboard Stores items to paste in another location of a document or in another office file
Copy word replaces it with the same thing
Cut word removes it from the original location and adds it in the clipboard collection
Document Properties Identify the creator of the document, the date it was created, its subject and category, and keyboards that can be used o search for the document
Go To A way to navigate through longer documents quickly by jumping to a specific page, table, graphic, equation, or other things in your document
Navigation Plane Provides options for browsing and searching in the document
Object Zoom Enables you to zoom in on objects such as tables, charts, or images while in Read Mode
Paste Places the clipboard text to a new location in the document or in a new document
Read Mode Changes the page layout of the document with a larger font for easier reading
Replace Put in place a specific font color, bolding, or italics
Thumbnails Page images that are small but easy to see
Wildcard Characters that find words or phrases that contain specific letters or a combination of letters
