| leading | verticle spacing between the lines |
| kerning | adjusting the spacing |
| tracking | expand or retract the amount of text on a page |
| lines | can be any size, shape, or length |
| positive space | main focus of a picture |
| negative space | the space that surrounds an object in an image |

| organic | free-form, unpredictable, and flowing in appearance |
