| Flyer | A single page inexpensive document used sell a product or service and to convey a message in as few words as possible. |
| Headline | The first line of text on a flyer |
| Body copy | The lines of text between the headline and the signature line on a flyer. |
| Signature line | The last line of text on a flyer that contains the contact information or a call to action. |
| Formatting Mark | Characters that appear on screen but do not print out. |
| Zoom | To increase or decrease the magnification of a document. |
| Wordwrap | Allows you to type words in a paragraph continually without pressing the ENTER key at the end of each line. |
| Save As | Used the first time to name and save a file. |
| Format | To change or modify the appearance of a document. |
| Paragraph Formatting | The process of changing the appearance of a document. |
| Character formatting | The process of changing the way characters appear on the screen and in print. |
| Font | Defines that appearance and shape of the letters, numbers, and special characters. |
| Font size | Specifies the size of the characters and is determined by a measurement systems called points. |
| Shade | Colors the rectangular area behind text or graphics. |
| Bulleted List | A series of paragraphs, each beginning with a bullet character. |
| Theme | A set of unified formats for fonts, colors, and graphics. |
| Font color | Color applied to the characters on screen and in print. |
