| Employees | A person employed for wages. |
| Entrepreneurship | A person who organizes and operates a business, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so. |

| Teen Entrepreneur | Teenager or person under twenty taking on a business. |
| Business Plan | A document setting out a business's future objectives and strategies for achieving them. |
| Sole-Proprietorship | A person who owns the business and is personally responsible for its debts. |
| Partnership | a business owned and run by two or more partners. |
| Corporation | A company or group of people authorized to act as a single entity (legally a person) and recognized as such in law. |
| Franchise | An authorization granted by a government or company to an individual or group enabling them to carry out specified commercial activities, e.g., providing a broadcasting service or acting as an agent for a company's products. |
| Buy existing business | Purchasing a business that is already formed. |
| Family owned business | Business in which two or more family members are involved and the majority of ownership or control lies within a family. |
