| Format painter | Copies the formatting of text |
| Hanging Indent | The first line in a paragraph is against the left margin, all other lines are a ½ inch in from the left margin |
| First Line Indent | The top line of a paragraph is a ½ inch in from the left margin. All other lines stay on the left margin. |
| Left Indent | All lines of a paragraph start a ½ inch in from the left margin |
| Right Indent | All lines of a paragraph end a ½ inch away from the left margin |
| Next Page Break | This starts a new section on the next page. What is done in one section will not affect the other section. |
| Column Break | This is used to get to the next column. |
| Continuous Break | Creates a new section on the same page. What is done in one section will not affect the other section. |
| Page Break | Marks the point where one page ends and the next page begins |
| Watermark | A faded picture or text behind the document body |
