Literary Elements

The literary elements of a story

TermDefinition
Setting The time and place of the action.
Conflict A struggle between opposing forces
Plot The turning point or point of greatest interest in the story.
Falling Action Conflicts are resolved.
Resolution The end of the story.
Theme The meaning of the story-- sometimes the moral or lesson of the story.
