How do you percieve white? it's a reflection of all the colors
How do you percieve black? it is absent of color
What is hue? the similarities to another color
What are the primary colors? Red, blue, and yellow
What are the secondary colors? Violet, Orange, and green
What are the tertiary colors? Yellow-Orange, Red-Orange, Red-Violet, Blue-Violet, Blue-Green, and Yellow-Green
What is a saturated color? the amount of gray in a color
What three groups make up the color wheel? Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary
What is a tint? a color mixed with white
What is a shade? how dark a color is
What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? Red, Orange, and Yellow
What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? Blue, Violet, and Green
What are the five neutral colors? Brown, Black, White, Grey, and Tan
What are the six types of color harmonies? Monochromatic, Analogous, Complementary, Triadic, Split Complementary, and Neutral
What is a monochromatic color harmony? using tints and shades of only one color and/or neutral colors to compliment it
What is an analougus color harmony? using 3 or more colors next to each other on the color wheel
What is a complementary color harmony? colors directly across from each other on the color wheel
What is a triadic color harmony? 3 colors equal distance away from each other on the color wheel
What is a split complementary scheme? a color and 2 colors next to the color that compliments it
What is a neutral color scheme? any combonation of blacks, browns, whites, greys, and tans
