Color terms

How do you percieve white? When all the wave lengths are reflected back to your eyes.
How do you percieve black? When there is no light reflected back to your eye.
What is hue? A color.
What are the primary colors? Blue , Red , Yellow.
What are the secondary colors? Violet , Orange , Green.
What are the tertiary colors? Redviolet,Blueviolet,Yellowgreen,Yelloworange, Bluegreen , Redorange.
What is a saturated color? A pure color, that has no white or black added.
What three groups make up the color wheel? Primary, Secondary, Tertiary.
What is a tint? A color with white added to it .
What is a shade? A color that has black added to it.
What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? Red, Orange, Yellow .
What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? Blue, Green , Violet .
What are the five neutral colors? White , Black , Tan , Brown , Gray.
What are the six types of color harmonies? Monochromatic, Analogist, Complimentary, Split complimentary, Double complimentary, Triadic.
What is a monochromatic color harmony? One color that has tints and shades.
What is an analougus color harmony? 3 or more colors next to eachother on the color wheel.
What is a complementary color harmony? Colors directly acrosse from eachother on the color wheel.
What is a triadic color harmony? The colors that are 3 colors apart.
What is a split complementary scheme? A color, and the two colors next to its compliment .
What is a neutral color scheme? Any combinations of white , black, brown, tan, gray.
