How do you percieve white? when all all the light wave lenghth are reflected back to you
How do you percieve black? when no light is reflected back
What is hue? the color itself
what are the primary colors? red, blue, yellow
what are the secondary colors? violet, green, orange
What are the tertiary colors? red-violet, blue-violet, blue-green, yellow-green, yellow orange, red-orange
What is a saturated color? the colors used in the color wheel because there is no white or black in them
What three groups make up the color wheel? primary, secondary, tertiary
What is a tint? a saturated color mixed with pure white
What is a shade? a saturated color that is mixed with pure black
What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? red, orange, yellow
What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? blue, green, violet
What are the five neutral colors? black, grey, white, brown, tan
What are the six types of color harmonies? Monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic, split complementary, neutral
What is a monochromatic color harmony? using tints and shades of only one color
What is an analougus color harmony? using 3 or more colors that are next to eachother on the color wheel
What is a complementary color harmony? two colors that are directly across from eachother on the color wheel
What is a triadic color harmony? three colors that are located within equal distance from eachother
What is a split complementary scheme? any color and the two colors next to the colors complement
What is a neutral color scheme? any combination of blacks, greys, tans, whites,and browns
