Energy The ability to work
Metabolism All the chemical relations that occur in the cells of an organism
Enzyme Biological catalyst (chemical in every living thing that cause a reaction)
Photosynthesis The way that green plants make their food
Producers Organisms that make their own food
Respiration The release of energy from food
Scalar quantities Have a magnitude (size) and do not take place in any direction
Vector quantities Have magnitude and direction
Displacement The distance an object travels in a certain direction
Velocity The speed of an object and the direction it is travelling in
Collision theory Before a chemical reaction happens the particles in the reactant must collide with each other
Acids Substance which turns blue litmus red
Bass Substance which turns red litmus blue
Alkali A base that dissolves in water
