First Amendment - Freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition
Second Amendment - The right to bear arms
Third Amendment - In times of peace, soldiers may not be quartered in homes without consent of the owner
Fourth Amendment - Protects the people from unreasonable searches and seizures
Fifth Amendment - Guarantees that no one may be deprived of life liberty and property without due process of the law
6th Amendment - Guarantees the right to trial by jury in criminal cases
7th Amendment - guarantees the right to trial by jury in most civil cases
8th amendment - prohibits excessive bail, fines, and punishments
9th amendment - declares that rights not mentioned in the constitution belong to the people
10th amendment -declares that powers not given to the national government belong to the states or to the people
