computer graphics vocabulary words
Vocab Word | Definition |

Clip art | Computerized graphic images. |
Copy | To duplicate sections of text. The original section will remain. |
Cut | To remove sections of text. The original section will disappear. |
Drawing Toolbar | The toolbar that allows us to utilize drawing tools quickly. |
Highlight | To select an area of text. It will have a black background. |
Clipboard | An invisible location where the computer stores an image or text that has been copied or cut. |
Paste | To place an image or text that has been cut or copied. |
Graphic | Any line, shape, image and/or picture that can be added to a document for visual effect. |
Handles | The squares located on the outside of a highlighted image that allow you to resize it. |
Resize | To change the size of a graphic image. |
Text box | An outline of an area where text can be placed. |
Rotate or Flip | To turn or spin a graphic image. |
Order | The placement of a graphic image in an object-oriented graphics program like Microsoft Word. |
Pixel | Tiny squares, invisible to the eye, that can be filled in with color to create a graphic in a drawing program like Paint. |
Group | To connect more than one item or image together to form one graphic image. |
