QuestionAnswer
Scientific method a series of steps used to answer a question or solve a problem.
Observations Are used to gather information by using one of 5 senses to identify objects or events.
Hypothesis a possible explanation or answer to be question.
prediction An if then statement. states in advance the results of the experiment.
A Hypothesis is tested in a experiment.
Variable What is being studied in the experiment
control group variable is not changed.
Experimental group one variable that changed.
what are 2 group that make up an experiment? Control and experimental group.
2 variables in an experiment? independent and dependent variable.
what is a Independent variables? what is changed in the experiment.
What is a dependent variable. what changes in an experiment due to the independent variable.
when you perform experiment / analyze data you are collecting data looking for patterns in the data.
you should do the experiment more than once True
you should use many subjects to make sure your results are correct True
When you draw conclusion you- restate the results of the research explain if the results support the hypothesis and why or why not
