What is the physical landscape like in the states west of the Mississippi River? Toward the north there is the Great Plains they are interrupted by the Black Hills. To the south of the Colorado plateau. Alaska is home to the highest point in the U.S. Mount McKinley.
What are the bodies of water West of The Mississippi? The main body of water in this region is the pacific ocean. One of the rivers is Utah's great salt lake which is the largest salt lake. The dams on all of the rivers may much benefit to the people in the range.
What is the Climate of the Regions ? The states west of the Mississippi has many different climates . Tropical rain forest cover much of Washington and Oregon. Dry , hot deserts cover most of the southwest.
What are the natural resources you can find here? States west of the Mississippi have a great variety of natural resources. You can find petroleum, minerals, and a variety of energy is found here
What are Native Americans? Native Americans are the first people to live western states what is now the united states. Native Americans belonged in many different groups.
What are colonial times? The Spanish were the first Europeans to come to this region. in 1598 they established the first European settlement in the region near what is now El Paso, Texas. By the early 1600s they founded Santa Fe, New Mexico.
