| Placeholder | Type of text frame within a slide. |
| Normal View | Shows slides |
| Slide Sorter View | Shows all slides in minimised format. |
| Notes Page | Allows the user to add presenter notes for each slide. |
| Slide Show | Runs the slide show presentation. |
| Grouping | Groups a number of images or shapes together. |
| Transition Effects | How a slide will enter the screen during a presentation. |
| Animation Effects | How objects on a slide will move onto the slide during a presentation. |
| Hyperlink | Connection from one slide to another or to another slide show, document or web page. |
| Hide Slide | When running a presentation will skip a slide. |
| Outline View | Shows only text content on a slide when printed. |
| Handouts | Fits 1, 2, 3,4,6 or 9 slides per page when printed. |
| Notes Pages | Fits 1 slide plus speaker notes per page when printed. |
| Sound Effects | Sets an audio clip or sound to an element in the slide. |
| Flip | Images can be flipped horizontally or vertically |
| Rotate | Images can be rotated by any amount of degrees. |
| Shadow | Applies a shadow effect to a drawn object or image. |
