x-axis horizontal axis
y-axis vertical axis
category axis an axis that contains names of data, groups, locations, months, or years.
value axis an axis that contains numerical values
z-axis an axis that contains category and value data
plot area the area inside the horizontal and vertical axis
tick marks on the vertical axis
gridlines creates a scale of measure for each value
data point A value in a cell you select for your chart
data marker a marker that visually represents each data point
data series a collection of related data points
legend a tool that is included to identify four data series
sizing handles the border around the chart
chart sheet a sheet in a workbook that contains only a cart that is linked to the workbook data
embedded chart a chart that is inserted directly in the current worksheet and doesn't exist in a separate file
object A chart
major gridlines represent the values at the value axis tick marks
minor gridlines represents the values between the tick marks
text annotations labels that further describe your data
exploding tool used to emphasize one data point
