DDC Part 1

TermDefinition
Career A lifelong pursuit of an occupation that often requires specialized knowledge and training
Job A task through which a person earns money
Occupation The principal business of one's life, a profession.
Profit A financial gain, the difference between the amount earned and the amount spent in operating a business
Wages Monetary compensation paid by an employer to an employee in exchange for work completed
Salary Fixed compensation paid periodically and regularly to a person for performing work during a specific period of time.
Skill set A person's rage of skills or abilities
Long term goal Something you want to accomplish in the future that requires time and planning and usually takes several years to accomplish
Short term goal Something you want to accomplish in the near future and accomplishing these goals can lead to accomplishing long term goals.
