Compliance | Fulfilling the requirements of the law. |
Hazard | Potential events or situations that can cause injury or harm to people, property, or the environment. |
OSHA | Occupational Safe and Health Act of 1970 A federal government agency that writes and enforces safety and health standards for businesses |
Risk | The possibility of loss (failure) or gain (success). |
Safety | Freedom from danger, risk, or injury. Health A person's mental or physical condition. |
Occupational Health | Is the promotion and maintenance of the highest degree of physical, mental and social well-being of workers in all occupations by preventing departures from health, controlling risks and the adaptation of work to people, and people to their jobs. |
Outcome | The way a thing turns out. |
Personal Protective Equipment | Designed to protect the wearer's body from injury or infection. |
