| Multimedia software | a program for creating presentations that can have text, graphics, sound; Powerpoint, Google Slides |
| Slide show | a group of slides intended to inform an audience with text, graphics, and audio; presentation |
| Slide | a single "page" from a multimedia presentation |
| Linear Presentation | progresses from first slide to last slide without going to webpages outside the presentation |
| Non-Linear Presentation | a presentation that includes hyperlinks for going to other webpages and return to the presentation |
| Slide design | an existing slide format that controls the layout, font, and color scheme for all slides |
| Slide layout | determines the position of the objects and text on a slide |
| Animation | Adding movement to any object or text on the screen |
| Transition | The motion as one slide moves off screen and another appears |
| Graphic | a picture or clipart image that is put into the presentation |
| Background | format the color, design, or apply a photo to customize a slide |
| Manually | Presenter controls the presentation; next slide appears when the mouse is clicked |
| Loop | Presentation plays continually |
| Screenshot | a photo of a monitor's display included in a presentation or document |
| Text box | a defined area inserted for text to be added |
