Cells Vocab (W1)

Cell the smallest structural and functional unit of an organism and it is usually microscopic
Organism a form of life that is composed of different parts that work together to survive
Multicelluar organisms made up of more than one cell and they must have transport systems.
Unicelluar (SINGLE CELL) consists of one cell that can perform all necessary actions to survive and CAN exchange substances with the outside.
Tissues a group of similar cells that form a material that has a specialized function in a multicelluar organism
Organs a group of similar tissues that perform a specialized task
Systems different organs joining to meet a organisms needs
Transport to carry or move
Nucleus sends out directions for the cell to function and direct growth
Amoeba single cell that can be found in freshwater or saltwater and engulfs food particles.
