Formatting A Worksheet Vocabulary
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Format | A cell determines how the labels and values look. |
| Number Format | Adds dollar signs and 2 decimal places to the data. |
| Font Size | The physical size of the text, measured in units called points. |
| Point | Is equal to 1/72 of an inch. |
| Font Styles | Formats such as bold, italic, and underlining that you can apply to affect the way the text and numbers look in a worksheet. |
| Alignment | Labels and values in cells position them in relation to the cells edges- such as left, right, or centered. |
| Column Heading | The box at the top of each column containing a letter. |
| Auto Fit | Automatically resizes the column to accommodate the widest entry in the column. |
| Cell Styles | Predesigned combinations of formats based on themes hat can be applied to selected cells to enhance the look of a worksheet. |
| Conditional Formatting | A type of cell formatting that changes based on the cell's value or outcome of a formula. |
