Primary Colors Any of three colors that are considered to be the generators of all colors
Secondary Colors A color produced by mixing two primary colors in equal proportions
Pixel The smallest element of an image that can be individually processed
Resolution The measure of how graphics are displayed in pixels
anti-aliasing A technique for smoothing out jagged lines in a graphic
dpi Dots Per Inch- A measure of resolution used for printing text or images
Color depth Determines the colors from the color palette that are available to a pixel
Rasterize Convert a vector graphic into a bitmap
File Compression Used to reduce the size of a file
Image Composition The way elements are arranged in an image
SVG Scaleable Vector Graphic- A vector file type that is supported by some browser
