Complex formula | When there is more than one operation in a formula, the order of operations tells your spreadsheet which operation to calculate first. In order to use complex formulas, you will need to understand the order of operations. |
Order of precedence | It's important to understand that when you create a formula with several operators, Excel evaluates and performs the calculation in a specific order. For instance, Excel always performs multiplication before addition. |

relative cell reference | By default, all cell references are relative references. When copied across multiple cells, they change based on the relative position of rows and columns |
absolute cell reference | An absolute cell reference is a cell reference in a spreadsheet application that remains constant even if the shape or size of the spreadsheet is changed, or the reference is copied or moved to another cell or sheet. |
