Extra (noun) Performers who play a minor role in a play, movie, or tv show
masquerade (noun) a false representation, a disguise
pseudonym (noun) aka PEN NAME: a name used by an author that is not his or her real name
fate (noun) outcome of one’s actions
compelling (adj) evoking interest, attention, or admiration in a powerfully irresistible way
preconceived (adj) (of an idea or opinion) formed before having the evidence for its truth or usefulness
reception (adj) the action or process of receiving something sent, given, or inflicted such as applause
ruse (noun) trick
comrades (noun) a fellow soldier or member of the armed services.
defy (verb) openly resist or refuse to obey.
Indentured servants (noun) A person under contract to work for another person for a definite period of time, usually without pay but in exchange for free passage to a new country.
enlist (verb) enroll or be enrolled in the armed services
discharge (verb) tell (someone) officially that they can or must leave (aka their time of service has ended)
pension (noun) a regular payment made during a person's retirement from a fund that person or their employer has contributed during their working life.
