name box displays the active cell address
formula bar allows u to enter or edit data in the work sheet
cell can contain text numbers formulas or a combination of all three
cell address which is identified by the coordinates of the intersecting column and row
cell pointer is a dark rectangle that outlines the cell your working in
active cell highlighted making it easier to locate
sheet tabs below the worksheet grid let u switch from sheet to sheet in a workbook
status bar is located at the bottom of the excel window
mode indicator in the lower left corner
range select a range when u want to perform an action on a group of cells
formula is an equation on a worksheet
labels are entries that contain text and numerical information not used in calculations
values are numbers and formulas and functions that can be used in calculation
function is built in formula
arguments calculate late answers
formula prefix followed by cell address range names values
calculation operators indicate what type of calculation you want to perform
comparison operators compare values for the purpose
reference operators enable u to use range in calculations
enter button check-mark on formula bar
