What is a simple sentence? An independent clause that can stand by its self.
what is a compound sentence? two or more independent clauses with realated ideas joined by a comma and a conjuction.
what is a complex sentence? A sentence that includes has at leat one subordinat clause combined with one independent clause.
what is a comcound/complex sentence? A sentence that has mor than one indepependent clause and at least one subordinate clause.
What is a phrase? A group of words that is used as a single unit in a sentence.
What is a clause? A group of words that does have a subject and a predicate.
what is an independent clause? a clause that can stand by its self as a sentence.
what is a subordinate clause? a group of words that can on stand by itself as as sentence.
what is a sentence? a group of words that express a complete thought.
