| Service Design | Covers designing services to meet the strategic objectives |
| Service Transition | Covers introduction of the service, and subsequent changes to it |
| Service Operation | Covers the actual running of the service in the live environment |
| Continual Service Improvement | Covers production and prioritization of improvement programmes and projects based on strategic objectives |
