font the typeface or design of a set of characters
font size the size of characters, measured in points
point to position the tip of the mouse pointer over an object, option, or item
theme a relates set of fonts, colors, stles, and effects that is applied to an entire document in any office program to give it a cohesive appearance
drop cap a large dropped initial capital letter that is often used to set off the first paragraph of an article
bold formatting applied to text to make it thicker and darker
italic formatting applied to text to make the characters slant to the right
format painter non-printing charactersthat appear on screen to indicate the ends of paragraph, tabs, and other formatting elements
quick styles a set of styles that are designed to be used together in a document
style a named collection of character and paragraph formats that are stored together and can be applied to text to format it quickly
left aligned alignment in which the item is flush with the left margin
right aligned text is aligned along the left margin, and letter- and word-spacing is adjusted so that the text falls flush with both margins
justify show or prove to be right or reasonable
center the middle point of a circle or sphere, equidistant from every point on the circumference or surface
tab stop the location the cursor stops after the tab key is pressed
indent start (a line of text) or position (a block of text, table, etc.) further from the margin than the main part of the text
indent markers a notch, cut, or dent in something
bullet a small symbol, such as a solid circle, printed just before a line of type, such as an item in a list, to emphasize it
borders form an edge along or beside (something)
shading the darkening or coloring of an illustration or diagram with parallel lines or a block of color
clip art simple pictures and symbols made available for computer users to add to their documents
clip organizer drawings, photographs, sounds, videos, and other media files
clips a device, typically flexible or worked by a spring, for holding an object or objects together or in place
sizing handles a tool found in a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that allows users to resize an object
inline graphic images that are embedded within a text document
floating graphic inserted into a document "inline" rather than floating in the draw layer
