Unit C formatting

TermDefinition
Font is a complete set of characters with the same typeface or design
Font size how big and small the word are
Point it is 1/72 of an inch
Theme a related set of fonts, colors, styles
Drop cap a large initial capital letter
Bold makes the text darker
italic makes the text slanted
format painter allows you to copy the format settings applied to the selected text
Quick styles are designed styles that are meant to to be attractive and readable
styles is a set of formats
left angled it is flush with the left margin and has a raged right edge
right angled makes it flush to the right margin
center flush to the middle of the left and right margin
justify both the left and right edges of the paragraphs are flush with the left and right margin
tab stop is a point of the horizontal ruler that indicates the location at which to align
indent when you move a paragraph to the right or left edge of the margin
indent markers the horizontal ruler indicates the indent settings for the paragraph
bullet is a character often a circle
borders are lines you add above, below, and side
shading is color or pattern that you add behind a text
clip art a collection of graphic images in a document
clip organizer a library of clips
clips media files
sizing handles white circles that appear on the square edge
inline graphics it is part of a line of text in which it was inserted
floating graphics to move a graphic independently of text
