| Angle of Refraction | Angle of refracted light ray measured relative to the normal |
| Area of Illumination | The surface area the light beam falls on |
| Diffusion | The light spreading out as it moves away from its source |
| Illuminate | To light up |
| The Law of Refraction | The angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection |
| Lens | A clear piece of curved glass or plastic that bends passing light to focus or spread the light rays |
| Reflection | When light strikes an object and bounces off of it |
| Refraction | The bending of a wave as it passes at an angle from one medium to another |
