Unit B Vocabulary

TermDefinition
Cut and Paste Moving text.
Cut Removed from the document and placed on the Clipboard.
Clipboard A temporary storage area for text and graphics that you cut or copy from a document.
Drag and Drop Move selected text by dragging it to a new location using the mouse.
Save Save the changes you made to a file, overwriting a file that is saved on a disk.
Save as When you want to leave the original file intact and create a duplicate file with a different filename, file extension, or location.
Office Clipboard Holds up to 24 items.
System Clipboard Holds 1 item
Copying and Pasting Similar to cutting and pasting text except that the text you copy is not removed from the document.
Copy Is not removed from the document, but its "Duplicated".
Hyperlink is a text or graphic that, when clicked, "jumps" the viewer to a different location or program.
Document Properties User-defined details about a file that describe its contents and origin.
