Trojan Horse This is a program that claims to rid your computer of viruses but instead introduces viruses.
spam (or spamming) This is the use of electronic messaging systems to send an unsolicited message, especially advertising.
Worm This is a standalone malware computer program that replicates itself to spread to other computers.
Virus This is a type of malicious software program that when executed, replicates by reproducing itself or infecting other computer programs by modifying them.
URL This stands for Uniform Resource Locator. It's a reference (address) to a resource on the internet.
WAN This stands for Wide Area Network. It's a computer network that expands over a large geographical distance.
T-1 This is an internet line that keeps multiple computers connected at high speeds.
T-3 This has a specific data transfer rate of 44.736 megabits per second.
Spyware This is software that enables a user to obtain information about another computers activities by transmitting data from their hard drive.
Wi-Fi This is a technology that allows electronic devices to connect to a wireless network .
