BPS bits per second, the standard measure of data transmission speeds.
Browser software application used to locate, retrieve and display content on the World Wide Web, including Web pages, images and video.
GIF bit-mapped graphics file format used by the World Wide Web, CompuServe and many BBSs. GIF supports color and various resolutions
Gigabyte 2 to the 30th power (1,073,741,824) bytes. One gigabyte is equal to 1,024 megabytes. Gigabyte is often abbreviated as G or GB.
Hypertext A special type of database system in which objects (text, pictures, music, programs, and so on) can be creatively linked to each other.
JavaScript A scripting language developed by Netscape to enable Web authors to design interactive sites. JPEG -
JPEG stands for the Joint Photographic Experts Group standard, a standard for storing and compressing digital images. Motion-JPEG extends this standard by supporting videos.
Data Compression Storing data in a format that requires less space than usual.
Tethering Tethering enables your cellular telephone or similar Internet-enabled mobile device to connect other devices such as netbooks, laptops or PDAs to the Internet.
