Excel Functions, Descriptions and Examples

QuestionAnswer
SUM Adds all the numbers in a range of cells
MAX Returns the largest value in a range of cells
MIN Returns the smallest value in a range of cells
AVERAGE Returns the average (arithmetic mean) of a range of cells
COUNT Counts the number of cells in a range
NOW Returns the serial number of the current date and time
IF Returns one value if a condition you specify is True and another value if it evaluates to False
