Vocabulary

QuestionAnswer
Tells what percentage of the total market's sales one seller has. Market Share
The total of all persons or organizations that are potential customers. Market
A historical relationship between sales and time. Trend
Estimate of future sales. Forecasts
People who complete business surveys. Respondents
A reduction in marked or retail price; a discount. Markdown
The amount added to the cost of the goods to cover all other expenses plus a profit. Markup
A trade discount that has two or more discounts. Discount Series
Price the retailer pays after the trade discount is given. Invoice Price
A price shown in a catalog. List Price
A reduction or discount given from a catalog or list price; a discount given "within the trade." Trade Discount
A term indication that payment is to be made at a later date, or describing a partial payment on an amount owed. On Account
