TermDefinition
telecommuting A work arrangement that enables millions of workers to perform their work activities at home using a computer and an Internet connection. Also called teleworking.
World Wide Web (web) The part of the Internet that enables users to browse and search for information using a web browser application. Users can follow links and read and download information.
distance learning A form of education consisting of online courses and programs offered by colleges and universities. It involves the electronic transfer of information, course materials, and testing materials between schools and students.
learning management system (LMS) A type of online computing platform used to deliver distance learning courses (also called online courses). See also distance learning.
