| Glass Ceiling | An artificial limit placed on minority griups moving into positions of authority & decision-making |
| Incentive System | The amount of compensation connected to the quality or quantity of an employee's performance |
| Job Analysis | A specific study of a job to identify in detail the job duties & skill requirements |
| Labor Union | An organized group of employees who negotiate with employees about issues, such as wages & working conditions |
| Organizational Culture | The environment in which people work, made up of the atomsphere behaviors, beliefs, & relationships |
| Outsourcing | Removing work from one company & sending it to another company that can complete it at a lower cost |
| Promotion | Any form of communciation used to inform, persuade, or remind |
| Termination | The end oran employment relationship between a company & employee |
| Transfer | The assignment of an employee to another job in the company with a similiar level |

| Work Environment | The physical conditions & the psychological atomsphere |
| Workforce | All of the people 16 years or older whopare employed or who are looking for a job |
