Poetry

Words used to describe poetry tecniques.

Personification The representation of a thing or idea as a person or by human form.
Symbolism A system of symbols or representations.
Imagery Language that suggests how someone or something looks, sounds, feels, smells, or tastes.
Repetition The act or an instance of repeating.
Meter A systematic rhythm in poetry that is usually repeated.
Illusion The state or fact of being led to accept as true something unreal or imaged.
Sonnet A poem of 14 lines usually rhyming by a fixed scheme.
