| Hard Drive | a non-removable drive, which is fast and holds a great deal of information |

| Input Devices | used to enter data into a computer |
| Moniter | output device that provides a visual representation of the info stored on a computer |
| Mouse | output device that provides a visual representation of the info stored on a computer |
| Output Devices | any device which allows info to flow out of the computer |
| RAM | number of silicon chips inside a computer that hold info as long as the computer is turned on |
| ROM | small bit of memory that stays in the computer when it is turned off. This allows the computer to boot up. |
| Software | collection of programs and other data input that tells a computer how to operate and manipulate data |
| Virus | computer program that causes damage to software or files on a computer |
