NEWTON'S LAWS IG

balanced forces two or more forces whose effects cancel each other out and do not change the motion of an object.
center of mass point in a object that moves as if all of the objects mass were concentrated at the point
force a push or pull
friction force that acts to oppose sliding between two surfaces that are touching.
net force a combination of all forces acting on an object
newtons's 1st law of motion IF THE NET FORCE acting on on an object is zero, the object will remain at rest or move in a straight line with a constant speed
newtons's 2nd law of motion an object acted upon by a net for will accelerate in the same direction of the force and the acceleration equals the net force divided by the objects mass,
newtons's 3rd law of motion states that the force always acts equal but opposite pairs
unbalanced forces two or more forces acting on an object that do not cancel, and cause the object to accelerate
