Network CMDs

Net commands and Procedures

QuestionAnswer
IPCONFIG /all checks all available information on the network. (IP, SUBNET, GATEWAY, ETC)
ping <ip address> checks connectivity of the network by sending test packets to the router.
NET VIEW View Local CPU names in Network
NET VIEW /DOMAIN View available workgroups
NET VIEW /DOMAIN: <WORKGROUP> View Specific Workgroup
TRACERT <COMPUTER NAME> or <IP ADDRESS> Enumerate the computer name into an ip address and visa versa.
Pathping <COMPUTER NAME> Enumerate the computer name into an ip address and visa versa and pings the network.
