Customer Service Issues in Hospitality and Tourism

TermDefinition
desalinization Removal of salt (especially from sea water).
libel Publication of something false that hurts a person or company’s reputation.
neutral Not engaged in either side (e.g., not positive or negative).
patronize To be a customer of (give one’s patronage to) a specific business or organization.
purser An employee on a cruise ship who handles money and answers customer questions/addresses customer complaints.
steward An employee on a cruise ship who supervises cleaning cabins and interior public areas, delivering food to cabins (rooms), laundry, and transporting luggage.
